him through the floor. Wright suddenly landed hard on what seemed like a wood
floor, he wiped his eyes and saw that he was back in the room and the black ooze was
all around him but the snake like chains were gone. Wright stood up and tried to wipe
the rest of the ooze off his clothes but it was starting to get sticky so he decided not to
worry about it but all he thought was that when he got home he was going to burn the
clothes. Wright started to walk towards the door when he started to hear whispers in
his ears, they would say “Don’t go that way go the other way” “Where are you going
Wright” “Watch out there’s something behind you” “They see you hide” “They’re
coming for you, run” Wright looked around but couldn’t see anyone but he still
continued towards the door slowly just in case but the whispers still haunted him.
Wright tried to ignore the whispers but they started to get louder with each and every
step. When Wright got to the door he started to open it but the whispers turned to
yelling but when he opened the door, the voices stopped. When Wright stepped out of
the room he felt a force of air rush passed him but it didn’t feel like air, it was thick and
heavy. Wright then heard a quick whisper say “Look” he looked around only to find
there was nothing there then a harsh female voice whispered “KILL” then Wright heard
someone scream. Wright was startled as he looked around again, when he turned back
around there was a woman that had a pale face with pointy teeth, her face looked like it
was scrunched up and there was blood coming out of her eyes. As soon as Wright
looked at her she let out a horrible scream that Wright guessed was what a banshee
would sound like. The moment Wright blinked she was gone and nowhere to be seen.
Wright started to walk towards the stairs when he heard chains in the room next to him,
when he looked at the room number it was room 316 then he heard a loud bang in the
room like a gunshot. Wright tried to open the door but it wouldn’t open, then he heard
another gunshot then the door finally opened to two men in dress suits running out and
knocking Wright over. Wright recognized them as the two men who shot his wife and
son, when he yelled out for them to stop they just looked back and smiled then
vanished. When Wright looked in the room he saw two bodies that were decaying but
they didn’t look like his wife and his son. Wright stood up and walked into the room
for a closer look, one of the bodies was a young woman and the other looked like a
child that might be in his teens, both were shot in the head. When Wright got closer to
them the young woman bolted straight up and ran towards Wright then grabbed hold
of him tight then tried to bite him. Wright grabbed her face and held it back so she
couldn’t bite him and tried to shove her off of him.
Wright finally pushed the woman off of him, when she landed on the ground her left
arm fell off and maggots began to pour out of the socket. There was no blood but black
ooze that came out, it looked as if the maggots were playing in the ooze. The ooze
around the body started to bubble like it was boiling and the decaying body seemed to
be melting. After about a minute the body was gone and the ooze started to sink
through a crack in the floor. The skin on the second body started to fall off the body and
with it came a stench that Wright wasn’t familiar with it, it was like rotting meat mixed
with burning flesh. When all the skin was gone, all that was left was a greenish black
color bones. Wright then turned around and started to walk out when he heard a
whisper say “Don’t leave, come back.” Wright looked back behind him but no one was
there so he continued to walk towards the door. When Wright got to the door he took a
quick look outside, when he saw no one was there he started to walk for the stairs, not
really sure where he should go but knowing there was nothing else for him up here
where the stench of death and agony was. When Wright got to the doorway to the stairs
he saw some writing above the door that said “Give into the night.” He stared at it for a
moment and wondered what that could mean, when he was sure he wouldn’t find out
he started to head down the stairs hoping that nothing else would happen but knowing
that the worst was yet to come.
When Wright got half way down he saw Tony sitting on the stairs as if he knew Wright
was going to head down that way. When Wright got to where Tony was he told him to
take a seat. Wright sat down next to him and Tony then asked him how he liked this
world. Wright then said “It’s something else, there’s a lot of death and even more pain.”
Tony laughed and said “I know isn’t it great. I love it, this will soon be my home.”
Wright looked at Tony and wondered why he wanted to live in a place like this even for
a notorious mobster this place was horrible. “This place just feels like home to me and
someday I will rule this place, Lucifer said if I give him the souls of the asylum I can
have this world” Tony told Wright. Tony then stood up and put his hands in the air and
looked up and said “This is my domain everything here is mine.” He then lowered his
hands and looked at Wright and said “You won’t get to see the coming of hell, you’ll be
in the belly of Lucifer for all eternity.” Tony then laughed and sat back down, he then
looked at Wright as if to mock him he said, “You will never be able to stop me the end
will come and Hell will be reborn on earth.” After he laughed Tony disappeared
leaving Wright forced to look at the now empty space and wonder how he could stop
someone that was already dead.
Wright finally got up and started down the stairs again, before he got all the way down
he heard two things talking but he couldn’t understand them. After several minutes the
voices stopped and the door opened, Wright could see the light that came from the
other side of the door so he knew there had to be someone there. Wright walked the rest
of the way down and then put his ear to the door to listen to anyone that might be
outside the door but he heard nothing so he slowly opened the door a little so he could
peek through, when he looked outside there was no one there. He opened the door the
rest of the way and it felt like he was pushed out, then the door slammed shut behind
him. The loud bang echoed throughout the first floor of the asylum, Wright was
worried that someone might of heard it but no one came. Wright looked around and it
was like looking at a ghost town, it was now all dusty and with every step that Wright
took the floor creaked under the weight. Suddenly the asylum started to decay and fall
apart and crumble Wright started to run through the hallway and down the stairs until
he got to the front door but it wouldn’t open. Part of the roof fell right behind Wright
scaring him so he tried harder to open the door by ramming his shoulder into it. After a
few times of ramming the door it finally opened causing Wright to fall outside, hitting
the steps as he fell.
Wright stood up and watched the asylum crumble into a pile of rubble, he was happy
he was finally out of the asylum, now all he needed to do was find a way back to the
asylum he came from. Wright stayed looking at
the pile of what was once the asylum
and he couldn’t help but smile and hope all the horrors that were in there were gone
now. The sun was high in the sky and it was hot with no clouds in the sky. Wright
started to walk away from the asylum, he didn’t know where he was going but he knew
anywhere was better than the asylum. After walking a few miles Wright came to what
looked like a bunker. The bunker had a black door and stood six feet from the ground
and had vandalism all over it. One part on it caught Wright’s eye it said “Home of the
traitors of the world” There was then a sign on the door that said “DO NOT ENTER.”
The door was open a little so Wright opened it the rest of the way, as he did hundreds
of large bats came flying out, as they came out they were screeching loud enough to
where Wright had to cover his ears. When the bats were gone Wright uncovered his
ears then heard a long wailing noise come from deep inside the bunker then a low
whisper say “Go in don’t be afraid, there’s nothing in there that will bite”. Wright felt
compelled to go into the bunker, when he stepped inside there were steps leading
downward into pitch black nothingness. As Wright was heading down lights started to
come on, he smelled something sweet like roses. It was nice to smell something other
than rotting meat or burning flesh. As Wright walked down the steps he realized that it
was quiet but it was an uncomfortable quite it made Wright uneasy like at any moment
something was going to come out and attack him.
The further down Wright went he started to see mummified human bodies plastered in
the wall, they had a look of horror as if before they died something horrible happened
to them. The number of bodies started to grow with some of their hands outstretched
like they were trying to grab ahold of something. As he walked down he felt something
grab his shoulder, when he turned around there was no one there, just the bodies
reaching out at nothing; they were plastered so it couldn’t be that maybe it was just the
eerie feeling he had about this place. Wright finally got to the bottom of the stairs to
find a large metal door that looked rusted, when Wright tried to open it, it made a
screeching sound but it barely moved. After several times of pulling the door as hard as
he could he finally got it open enough to get inside. When he stepped inside it was like
a small house, there was a dining table chairs and coffee table and even a kitchen. One
the coffee table that was dated Sunday October 15, 1962 and on the front page was his
picture but not for doing anything he wanted to be remembered for. Above his picture
was the words have you seen this man as he read the article he was wanted for the
massacre at the Rose Wood Asylum where over fifty people died. It said that there was
only one survivor it had a picture of Tony dressed like one of the doctors that worked
there. Under the first newspaper there was another one but it was dated Wednesday
December 13, 1962 he was on the front page again but this time he was dead. The article
said that they found him in the basement of the asylum in a room that was locked from
the inside and that he had a gunshot wound to the head they believe it was
self-inflicted.
Wright looked around, it seemed as if the people who meant to hide out here never
made it. He went to the kitchen to see if the food was good because he hadn’t eaten in a
while but when he opened up the refrigerator the smell of rotting food filled the air and
even though his stomach was empty he still threw up. He closed the refrigerator but the
smell still lingered, he walked out and he saw a hallway with three doors one of the
doors was right in front of him and the other two were across from each other. Wright
went to the door that was on his left first as he opened it he heard what sounded like a
girl crying when the door was fully open he saw a girl maybe in her teenage years
sitting on a bed facing away from him crying. He asked her what was wrong, when she
didn’t respond he stepped closer and she stopped crying and she started to slowly turn
around. Before she turned all the way around she said “They took it they took it all”
when she faced Wright she had a ghoulish like face with bark grey eyes then she said
“They took everything there’s nothing left.” Wright asked her what they took before,
she could answer she started to melt and as she melted she started to scream and say
“they took it, why did they take it?” All that was left was a puddle of greenish black
ooze Wright looked around and the room went from a nice girl’s room to a room that
had been completely destroyed. Wright stepped out of the room and went to the room
across from it he opened up the door and it was almost like the other room but with a
bigger bed. The room looked nice like it had been used recently the only thing that
threw it off was a body in the left upper corner of the room, the body looked as if had
been there for a while and started to mummified. Wright looked away from the body
then he started to hear the girl cry again, when he turned back towards the body the
same girl was there but in the body’s lap. The girl looked at Wright then smiled but it
wasn’t a kind smile Wright felt like it was a sinister smile, the girls started to get up but
as she did it sounded as if all her bones were popping in and out of place. She then fell
to her hands and started to crawl towards him, he backed up and got out of the room
then closed the door. Wright heard a thump on the door then what sounded like
something scratching at the door, Wright stepped away from the door in just enough
time for the girl to make a hole in the door. The girls head poked out of the hole and she
still had that evil grin on her face then she started to laugh but in a cackle like voice,
what Wright assumed a witch would sound like. Wright quickly went to the last door,
when he opened it the smell of something burning came rushing out then Wright
looked back at the hole and the girl was gone. Wright stepped through the door and
saw stairs leading up to God knows where but he closed the doors and started up
wondering where he was now going. After a while Wright finally got to the top, there
was a door there and above the door was the words “You will never escape the
madness”. Wright heard laughing coming up from the bottom of the steps, it sounded
like the girl again; he opened up the door went through then closed the door. Wright
looked around wondering where he was he then realized he was in the boiler room, he
turned around only to find there was no door, just a wall. Wright stepped out of the
boiler room and was happy that he was no longer in the asylum with all the demons in
it, he was back to the asylum he started at now he could find a way to stop Tony.
Chapter 11
Despair
Flying through the night Despair is looking for his master so he can rest his tired wings.
As Despair flies over a darkened city he sees a man lying on the ground bleeding to
death, Despair perches on a lamp post to wait for his master to appear. After waiting a
while a figure in robes darker than midnight walks up to the now almost lifeless figure
that looked up at Despair with his glowing eyes, Despair knew it was his master. He
/> flies down, lands on his shoulder, and caws; Death drops to a knee and looks at the man
in the eyes and whispers something then the look of anger grew on the dying man’s
face. As Death reaches inside the man’s chest he tries to grab Death’s arm but his hands
went through his arm, when Death pulls out his hand he has the man’s blackened soul
with the man’s body going limp. Death stands up and looks at Despair and tells him
that the soul needs to go to hell as soon as possible, it’s a really evil soul and tells him to
be careful. Despair took the soul in his mouth and swallowed it then he took flight and
headed south he flew as far south as he could then got to the gates of hell where
Naburus was awaiting the new arrival. Despair landed on the ground and cawed at
Naburus then regurgitated the soul into Naburus’s hand, the soul then morphed into
how the man looked in life and Naburus then took him inside the gates for his
judgment. Despair then hopped to turn around and fly off to the north to find Death
again. Despair flew over city after city until he got to where he last saw his master but
now he was nowhere to be found so he kept flying until he went to Death’s domain.
Death was sitting in a chair reading the scroll of life and death, his chair had two skulls
carved into the arms and one skull carved into the headrest.
Despair saw the name Tony Dolengo on the list, he was the second to last name and
under his name it had some of the evil deeds he did. Despair flew off the chair and to
the door then Death got up and opened the door for him as he flew out into the night
sky. Death then sat back down in his chair and picked the scroll back up and continued
to look at it. After an hour of looking at the scroll Death put it down then closed his
eyes and slept. Despair liked flying around with nothing to do it made him feel free, as
if he was his own master and he could go anywhere he wanted to. Despair saw a soul
that was walking around in a city, he flew down so he could take it to death to find out
here to take it. When he got to the soul it snatched him out of the air by the neck and
strangled him, when despair was close to death the soul ate him. The soul then yelled
towards the sky then morphed into a raven and flew off into the sky heading west. The
