drop his revolver and saw his hands and his gun were covered in blood. The revolver

fell to the floor and made a slash Wright looked down at the floor only to see that it was

covered in blood then he heard the nurse that he shot in the back say “Facti sunt velut

victos I onees, qui est” in a deep hellish voice. When he looked up the nurse was about

a foot away from him then Wright felt a sharp pain in his stomach. When he looked

down he saw his revolver in the nurse’s hand with the trigger pulled.

Wright started to fall down but as he fell he saw a coffin open up and when he hit the

bottom he heard the nurse laughing as she shut the lid. Being in the total darkness

Wright started to recall the night’s events and how nothing in this asylum seemed right.

Wright felt around the coffin and found a door knob, when he opened it he was greeted

by a bright light. When his eyes adjusted to the light he was standing in Dr. White’s

office. In Dr. Whites chair was Tony but something seemed off, he was wearing a black

top hat and a black coat that looked similar to Walters then Wright saw Tony smile he

knew Tony and Walter were the same person. “So have you figured it out” Walter

asked with an amused grin. Wright looked confused at Walter wondering what he

meant. Walter stood up and turned to look out the window, it was raining now and that

seemed to make him even happier. Walter took out a pocket watch from his coat pocket

and looked at the time and said in a low voice, “It’s almost time.” Wright looked at his

watch it was four in the morning, two more hours before the morning staff show up

and two more hours for whatever Walther is planning. “What are you planning”

Wright asked Walter. Walter turned his head and with an evil grin he said “I’m

planning on being around for a lot longer than one night.” Turning around Walter said

“tick tock detective or do you want the blood of everyone here on your hands.” Wright

turned around and head out the office doors hoping that there wouldn’t be another

illusion of Walters. Wright couldn’t believe he was starting to believe that everything he

saw was real it must have been some type of psychoses that could have be explained.

Walking through the halls of the asylum he couldn’t find anyone, he looked in one of

the patient’s room and found no one there. Carved into the wall he saw writing “Spera

in inferno” all Wright knew was that it had something to do with hell but he couldn’t

read it. Wright looked at the name chart on the wall next to the door it was Martin

McQuoid. Wright called out to seeing if anyone would answer but no one did. He

continued to walk down a hallway that he was sure it hadn’t seen before and at the end

was a door that had had a carving of some words that said “Hic infernum manet” then

the words “Hell awaits you here” started to echo in his head. Wright turned the knob

and felt hot air rush past him. He saw stairs leading down but to where? Afraid, he

started down the stairs the lower he got the hotter it got. Wiping sweat from his

forehead he looked down the stairs, it seemed as if they went on for an eternity. Finally

reaching the bottom Wright noticed that it was colder than the stairwell. Wright was

now in a corridor made with black bricks he touched the brick and instantly removed

his hands because of how hot the bricks were. He looked at his hand and saw the

infinity symbol scorched into his hand. He looked at the walls again and saw a reddish

slime oozing from cracks in the wall. When the red slime got to the floor Wright saw

that it was heading away from him and deeper into this strange corridor. At the end of

the corridor was a large room with a pentagram cut into the floor with the red slime

filling in the crevices of the pentagram. At each point there are doors with different

writing but Wright couldn’t make out what they said. In the middle of the pentagram

there was a giant hourglass that looked as if the sand was almost down on the bottom

with maybe an hour or two worth of sand in the top all Wright could do was wonder

what it was for. The hour glass had two snakes on both sides that spiraled up towards

the top. At the top of the hour glass were words that said “Quod Cecidit: Et

Resurgemus.” Wright went to the first door and looked up at the writing but could not

read it due to parts of it being broken off. When he opened the door, he heard what

sounded like a thousand chains scraping the floor then even more hellish screams

which sound like everyone was in pain. He quickly shut the door and backed up with

horror in his eyes, all he could do was stare at the door. After a few minutes he went to

the second door and above was the words “Mors Expectet.” Wright stared at the door,

not certain if he should open it or leave it shut but in the end he decided to open it just

in case it would give him answers. When he opened the door he saw dense fog

bellowing out then he heard what sounded like children singing the London Bridge.

Trying to look deeper into the fog without going into the room he saw a figure on his

knees with his hands on his head Wright called out to him to see if he was alright but he

got no reply. Then he saw a little figure walking to the man with a knife in its hand.

Wright tried to call out to the figure kneeling on the ground to warn him but there still

was no reply. The smaller figure then stopped in front of the kneeling one and raised its

hand and as the kneeling figure looked up the knife came down and both of the figures

disappeared as the door slammed shut.

Wright went to the third door and on the door was written “Cupiditas”, when he

opened the door he saw Dr. White shackled to a wooden chair and above his head was

a metal container that was glowing red. The container started to tip over and Wright

saw glowing metal start pouring out. One drop hit Dr. White on the head and he let out

a blood curdling scream then more drops hit him making his screams get louder. When

the metal cooled Wright saw that it was gold and heard Dr. White’s scream turn to

laughter as he said “Gold all for me.” Before he knew it Dr. White was covered in the

hot metal and the screaming had stopped, Wright was about to step into the room when

everything disappeared then Dr. White reappeared still shackled to the chair. Wright

watched in horror as the same thing kept happening over and over again. Wright closed

the door but he knew that he would have the image engraved into his mind for the rest

of his life. On the fourth door were the words “Mors Expectet” Wright was a little

scared to open the door but everything inside him wanted to know what was in there.

As soon as he opened the door he heard a gunshot then felt pain in his lower stomach.

When he looked down he saw blood coming out of a hole in his jacket then he

collapsed. Wright woke to a figure standing over him but couldn’t see it that well

because his eyes were blurry from the loss of blood. Hoping that the figure was

someone who could help Wright asks if the figure would help him but all he got in

response was a maniacal laugh from the figure. Wright knew from the laughter it was

Walter but what was he doing down here and was it Walter that shot him. Walter

picked up Wright and whispered in his ear “Now it’s time for you to joi
n me in the

Void.” Next thing Wright knew he was in total darkness and could hear what sounded

like hundreds of people scream, he wondered if this was it for his life, had he died and

gone to hell or was this place something different.
