Murder the Game Page 5
and throw up right outside the door. When Wright got his wits together he stepped into
the room, all the corpses began to scream in pain like they were being hurt by
something, but nothing was hurting them that Wright could see. Wright walked
halfway into the room when the corpses started to walk towards him, grabbing at him.
Suddenly he had ten, twenty, thirty corpses on him all grabbing at his eyes and his flesh
trying to tear him apart, it felt to him like they were trying to get to his soul. Wright felt
his flesh from his face and his stomach being torn away and then eaten by these undead
things. He tried to get out but he couldn’t, he was being pulled in and they were
holding tight so he couldn’t escape. Wright then started to punch them and one by one
they let go, as he started to get closer and closer to the door; when they would grab him
he would punch them and start moving again until he got out of the room. When he
was out he saw these enormous eyes and a huge shape of something coming for him.
When he tried to close the door the corpses were holding the door open and the big
thing kept coming, now it was running, trying to hurry and pull him back in. The door
started to move but it wasn’t closing fast enough, Wright was trying his best to pull it
shut. When the thing started to get closer the corpses started to let go and started to
move out of the way of the stampeding thing. When it got closer he saw that it had
huge horns and a burnt face, huge muscle and hooves for feet. Wright finally got the
door closed and locked it, when he did he heard a loud bang on the other side and two
horns came through the steel door, almost hitting Wright in the head.
Wright then started to walk back to the room with the sign on the door when he heard a
roar coming from behind him, Wright started to run just in case if that thing broke free.
Wright got to a split in the hallway and hid there, that’s when he saw that thing again
but now he could see him and realized he smelt like rotting flesh. It stopped right in
front of Wright and began to smell the air, trying to find him, luckily for Wright he
forgot to put on his deodorant today and he was out of cologne. The beast then roared
and started to run straight and away from Wright. When Wright couldn’t see the beast
thing anymore he stepped out and looked right and left, when he felt safe enough he
started walking to the room with a sign on it. It seemed like he would never get to the
room but when he did he heard the beast, when he looked to the left there it was,
nostrils flaring ready to attack. Wright tried to open the door but it was locked, he then
started to slam his shoulder on the door but it wouldn’t budge, the beast kept getting
closer. Wright took four steps away from the door then rammed it and finally got it
open, when he was in the room he quickly closed the door. Wright could hear the beast
trying to get in but he couldn’t for some reason, maybe he was more respectful to signs
than Wright was. It was dark in the room, Wright felt against the wall for a light switch,
he finally found it then turned the lights on.
Chapter 04
The Forbidden Room
When the lights came on, they flickered a little while then stayed solid, what Wright
saw in there horrified him. When Wright looked around there was blood everywhere,
splattered on the walls, the ceiling, and the floor. There was a table covered in blood in
the middle of the room with a bunch of wires and machines by it. The machines were
off, Wright followed one of the wires to a piece that was on the table, it looked like it
went on the head but Wright couldn’t figure out for what reason. Wright Walked to the
table and put his hand on it, it was cold like steel but he couldn’t tell if it was because of
all the blood. He tried to wipe the blood but it was dry, he then looked at the machine,
there were four buttons and two switches. One button was big and red and had stop
written in big letters on it. Out of nowhere Wright felt a sharp pain on the back of his
head, then everything went black.
When Wright was knocked out he saw his wife and his son playing together, laughing,
then they saw him and invited him to come and play too. He kissed his wife and
hugged his son and started to throw a ball to his son. For the first time in a long time he
was happy and smiling. Wright picked up his son and swung him around and around
they were both laughing and enjoying the time they were spending together. Wright
thought this couldn’t be a dream it feels so real, Wright finally told his wife he was
sorry and that he loved her. Suddenly he heard a gunshot, his wife picked up their son
and started to run then another gunshot, he heard his wife cry then another gunshot
with his wife falling silent. Wright ran to his wife and held her and their son in his
arms, crying and praying that this was a dream. Wright heard another gunshot and a
pain in the back of his head and suddenly he was awake, he saw Nurse Peters standing
over him with the things that looked like they would go on your head.
“Oh you're awake. That’s a shame, I wanted to try this on you to see how long you
would last” Nurse Peters said. Nurse Peters put the probes on Wright’s head and told
him that it might hurt him or his head, who knows then she laughed and hit two
buttons followed by flipping the first switch. Wright’s teeth clenched and his eyes
rolled to the back of his head as he started to convulse. Nurse Peters watched with a
smile on her face, hoping that Wright would last longer than the other victims that she
had before him. Suddenly the pain was gone, when his eyes rolled back he couldn’t see.
He tried to scream out but he heard nothing, he couldn’t feel the straps that tied him to
the table, all his senses were gone. Wright started to panic but he felt nothing, it felt
worse than when he was in the dark void. Suddenly Wright heard a voice in his mind
telling him not to worry that it will all end soon enough, that he will get out of this.
Wright then saw an image of his wife in his mind, she was talking to him saying that it
was his fault that she died and that she never loved him. If he was crying he didn’t
know it but he wished he knew. Wright started to think of all the things he did wrong
in his life. Wright started to beg his wife for death, he couldn’t live his life like this he
wanted his brain to hurry and explode like countless brains did before his with this
experiment.
Nurse Peters turned the machine off and grabbed a clipboard and stethoscope to check
Wrights vitals. Everything was normal, she called his name to no response she opened
his eyelids and his eyes had a white glaze over them. She then unhooked his leg straps
and moved it to dangle off the side then hit it with a little mallet, nothing happened.
Nurse Peters checked his pulse again and it was still normal, she looked at Wright and
wondered what happened this time, everyone else had their brains explode maybe she
could throw the second switch this time. Nurse Peters strapped his legs back in then left
the room to head up to talk to Doctor White about what had happened. Nurse Peters
got to the Doctor White’s office, she knocked on the door when White said she could
come in she opened the door and saw him
messing with one of the brains that had
exploded, “Did you know there’s no real difference between their brains and our brains
they all look normal. So what happened with Mr. Wright my dear?” White Asked
Nurse Peters. She told him he’s still alive but lost all his senses and possibly his mind
after all the shock therapy. Nurse Peters then shut the office door so she could talk to
Doctor White in private.
Wright grew up used to the feeling of nothing, after all it was almost like the dark void.
It felt kind of nice, almost weightless, then Wright started to hear things in his head. The
voices started out soft then progressively got louder and louder. The voices were all
jumbled up so Wright couldn’t understand them but one poked through, it was a
woman’s voice. The voice started out sweet and kind then turned to the sound of
something that sounded like it would come from that beast he saw earlier, it was telling
him to get ready to die and that soon he was going to. The voice became harsher by the
second, talking about all the horrible things he had done in his life, like letting his
mother die at the hands of his father. The voices then stopped, for the first time Wright
felt alone like there was no one else in this world of darkness. Wright started to hear
music, but not music that you would normally hear on the radio it was eerie, it kind of
sounded like it was coming from a violin. As it continued to play, the sound got more
eerie and caused Wright to grow more and more uneasy. Wright was unable to tell if an
hour, a day, or a week had passed; all he really knew is that he missed being able to see
and hear things. Wright started to feel something heavy on his chest, the thing that
came to his mind was a tiger getting ready to have a good meal, then he thought of
Walter Hemingway sitting on his chest menacingly laughing. Wright began to feel
joyus, hoping that the feeling in his body was returning, maybe his sight would return
soon too. Suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his heart as if someone stabbed him but he
was unable to do anything to try to make it better, Wright started to panic again. It felt
like his heart was going to explode and all he could do is lay there and wait until it did.
Suddenly the pain started to spread throughout his entire body, he tried to scream in
pain but nothing come out, it was still as silent as a graveyard at midnight.
Nurse Peters opened the office door laughing at a joke Doctor White had made, then
told him she’s going to do her 9:00pm round then excused herself. Nurse Peters started
her rounds on the second floor where the males were, when she got to the floor she saw
a patient walking around. She went over to the patient and looked at his wristband that
had his name on it, his name was Theodore Johnson. Theodore didn’t like when it was
time to go to bed, he liked to stay up all night so the nurses usually gave him some
medication to help him sleep but Nurse Peters figured that they just forgot to. Nurse
Peters went to the second floor pharmacy to get him something to get him to sleep.
When she got there the door was open, she stepped in to find a pale man simply
standing there as if he was waiting for her to show up. The pale man told Nurse Peters
that his name was Tony Dolengo and that he could not allow her to kill Detective
Johnathan Wright because that’s what he wanted to do. Tony then disappeared and
reappeared behind her only to snap her neck. Suddenly a whitish sphere came out of
her body, Tony grabbed it and told it that it definitely belonged in hell, then ate it. He
then dragged the body to where no one would be able to find it until tomorrow, by then
everything would happen the way Tony wanted it to, then he disappeared.
Tony entered the room where Wright was, just for fun he pulled the switch, electricity
flowed through the wires but had no effect on Wright. Tony frowned then pulled the
second switch and suddenly Wright started to react to the electricity; Tony turned off
the machine and told Wright that his time will come but not until tomorrow when
everyone else dies. Tony turned to walk away but stopped and looked at Wright and
told him he looked pathetic and that he could not wait until he killed him. Wright was
finally able to hear again he was happy about that but not happy to hear Tony’s voice.
While fear began to arise from hearing Tony’s voice, Wright began to feel the pain in his
body and was finally able to see again, while joyus to feel, this was also detrimental due
to all the pain hitting him at once. Wright felt that the straps around his hands and arms
were loose so he tried to free himself. He managed to free his right hand, then
proceeded to feel around to free his left hand, after a minute of searching he finally
found the strap, he was ecstatic to finally almost be free. Wright knew he had to get free
before Nurse Peters came back but he didn’t know how he would get away when he
couldn’t see anything, especially with that beast roaming the hallways.
Wright finally freed both his legs, now for the really challenging part trying to find the
door and get away before the crazy nurse comes back. Wright then heard Nurse Peters
ask him how he got out of the straps, followed by Tony’s laugh as tell he told him that
she wasn’t there yet. Wright then wiped his eyes, he could feel the crust that had
formed from when he was knocked out, when his eyes no longer felt crusty he tried to
open them and suddenly he saw a bright light. The light started to dim and he could
make out a figure in the corner and soon he was able to tell what it was. Tony laughed
then disappeared, Wright started to look around the room and behind the machine, he
saw some stairs leading down. Wright got off the table then looked at the machine and
thought he needed to destroy the machine so no one else would have to suffer like the
ones before him. He tried to tip the machine over but it was to heavy then he saw a
crowbar in the left back corner so he picked it up and he started to hit the machine until
he thought it wouldn’t be able to work anymore, he stopped and put the crowbar back
then walked over to the stairs. Wright looked down the stairs only to see it was too dark
to see all the way down, he just hoped there was a light switch because he didn’t know
if he could handle being in the dark again. Wright looked on the wall only to find no
switch so the only thing he could do was hope there was one when he reached the
bottom. He started to hear the door knob shake as if someone was trying to get in, he
thought to himself, damn she’s back.
....
Doctor White was on the other end trying to open the door but Nurse Peters locked it,
he muttered to himself, “Damn that woman, I want to get inside that room to see if
what she said was true and to get rid of him.” White gave up and turned towards the
way where the stairs were but about 5 feet away from him was Walter Hemingway,
“Good evening good sir, my name is Walter Hemingway and I’m here to tell you that
soon you will get a deal that will land you more money than you could possibly spend
in 100 lifetimes. It will be in your best interest to take that deal.” There was a shining
gleam from White’s eyes when he heard that and he even grinned a little, until he saw
Wal
ter smile then he felt uneasy about it but he wanted the money. He looked down for
a few seconds then back up at Walter but he wasn’t there, it was as if he had vanished
into thin air leaving White to wonder if he imagined it all. White started to walk
towards the stairs so he could go back to his office and wait for Nurse Peters. As White
was walking he felt as if someone what watching him, he felt like he wasn’t alone down
here, when he turned around there was no one there, then he heard a violin start
playing but it was a sad creepy sound as if the person playing it wanted people to feel
uneasy and terrified White started to walk faster but that only made the sound grow
even more creepy. As quickly as it started it ended, the sound of a little boy laughing
and a little girl crying followed the eerie violin. When White got to the stairs he caught
a quick gleam of a boy and a girl walking up the stairs into the dark, then they vanished
and all he could think was that he needed to rest because it had to be that he was so
tired. White finally got to his office and locked the door, he laid down on the couch that
was in the room and fell asleep, only to wake up a few hours later to knocking and a
nurse yelling that she can’t find Nurse Peters; thinking that she might be back in her
little torture room, he told her she might have stepped out for a little while and that she
should be back any minute. White got up to unlock the door and sit down at his desk
to start going through the pile of request to send family members here.
Chapter 05
Hell’s Maze
Wright Started to head down the stairs when he heard the beast outside in the hall, he
then began to rush faster down the stairs. The stairs wined downwards and it kept
getting darker with every step that Wright took. Wright put his hand on the wall, it felt
cold and wet like no one had come down her since they made it. As Wright was
descending, it started to get hot, as if he was heading towards the center of the earth.
When Wright got about half way down, or at least what he thought was half way down,
he saw a little light. Wright started to see the light move but not by someone, more like
